Welcome 2017 ! Feeling blessed.
New Year, New ME? NOPE. New year, better me I always say. My husband and I always ask each other what our New Years resolution is going to be and we always end up with "being a better me ".
For example, when it comes to fitness... people constantly put these huge new years resolutions on them like "losing 20 lbs by June, stop smoking as soon as the 1st of January hits or no fast food for 1 year" and before you know it, they're grabbing a McChicken from McDonalds after a night of drinking on NYE. I know this because I was definitely one of these people! I stopped making new years resolutions a long time ago beause I'd always end up breaking them in within the first month. I've learned in life that balance is key. If you want to eat that McChicken burger on Monday go ahead! Just don't eat one every day of the week? Balance it out, McChicken for lunch....salad for dinner! I'm sure you all know where I'm going with this..we've all been there!
Every new year I definitely try and reflect on how the previous year went and some changes I'd like to make with the brand new year ahead. Usually runs through my thoughts is this:
1. Be MORE grateful for my loved ones
2. Make more time for family
3. Shop less, recycle more
4. Stay healthy
....and that's it! I just want to be a better me, one day at at time.
